 2012 “Alice in Wonderland”, Two 5′ x 60′ murals created by Nancy Pochis Bank in collaboration with Tracee Badway for Chicago Gateway Green, showcased at their 21st annual Green Tie Ball. Finkl Steel Works, Chicago, IL.

2012 “Hooked on Art”, Featured artist for Frontline Foundation’s summer art festival, created live chalk pavement mural. Chesterton, IN.

2012 ”Unmask and Uncork” Artwork donated and auctioned to support North Branch Arts. Chicago, IL.

2012  ”Resident Spring Art Exhibit” Curated by Nancy Pochis Bank for the residents of Mather Place. Wilmette, IL.

2011 – 2012 ”Chicago Artists Month” selected by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events to host an open studio.

2010 “Courage – Equality – Honor” Designed and led a team of student volunteers to create murals for the stairwell at McCutchen Elementary School. Chicago, IL.

2009 – 2012 ”Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cool Planet”, opens in Copenhagen and travels throughout Europe, including Geneva, Marseille, and Amsterdam.

2008 – 2009 ”Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cool Planet,” Large Globe Exhibit in San Francisco’s Crissy Field, San Diego’s Balboa Park, and Los Angeles’s Exposition Park.

2008 – 2009 “Chicago Looks: Portraits of Chicago,” Small Mural Exhibit on seasonal display in Chicago’s Riverfront Walkway, between Michigan Avenue and Welles Street. Chicago, IL.

2007 ”Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cool Planet”, Mini-Globe Exhibit at the United Nations Atrium in New York and Sears Tower Lobby in Chicago. Designed and created four 12″ themed mini-globes for endorsement by Mayor Daley, (then) Senators Obama and Clinton, and Oprah Winfrey. Globes were auctioned to raise funds for Chicago’s environmental after-school programs.

Awards and Honors

2012 Selected by Beam Inc. to create permanent word-art chalkboards for their new conference center’s interior. Deerfield, IL.

2012 Selected by the American Medical Association to perform live chalk art for their annual medical conference. Chicago, IL.

2012 Selected by St. Jerome Croatian Catholic Church to a create chalk pavement mural welcoming Cardinal George to their 100th anniversary celebration. Chicago, IL.

2011 – 2012 Commissioned by Critical Mass Ad Agency to create multiple chalk art murals in their lobby. Chicago, IL.

2010 – 2012 Italian cookware company, Bialetti, commissioned Nancy to create multiple chalk murals for their booths at the annual “International Home and Houseware Show” at McCormic Place. Chicago, IL.

2011 Received a multi-year Chicago Neighborhood Arts Program Grant to return to CHA Senior Living facilities and teach Elder Art Classes that built on skills developed during previous grant classes.

2010 Received a Chicago Neighborhood Arts Program Grant for her work teaching Elder Art Classes in CHA Senior Living facilities.

2009 Selected by TBS (Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., division of Time Warner) to create “Very Funny” street chalk art around Chicago to promote their “Just for Laughs” comedy festival.

2009 Selected by the Art Therapy Connection as the first Guest Artist to work with artistically gifted seventh and eight graders. Designed and piloted an 8-week self-portrait curriculum culminating in an exhibit of student work at the National Teaching Academy.

2008 Commissioned by the City of Chicago to create a mural of Chicago writers entitled “Literary Chicago”.

2008 Selected by Southwest Airlines to design and create a large globe depicting the benefits of employee environmental volunteerism called “Community Care”. The globe has traveled throughout California along with 50 other globes.

2007 Sponsored by Goldman Sachs to design and create a large globe depicting the importance of helping children bond with nature entitled “Nature Nurture: Raising Future Environmentalists”. The globe was exhibited as part of Cool Globes’ Chicago Lakefront exhibit and auctioned to raise funds for Chicago’s environmental after-school programs.
