Open Studio

Thanks to all who stopped in at our Chicago Artist’s Month Open Studio last weekend! A wonderful time was had by all. We enjoyed art, conversation and refreshments- just what a studio open house should be. Thanks to Gateway Green for loaning us the Alice Murals to hang down the studio corridors.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
