Alice in Wonderland Murals Debut

The long hours and hard work of Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio and Tracee Badway have paid off. 120 feet of Alice in Wonderland mural lined the Chicago Gateway Green‘s entrance carpet at their annual Green Tie Ball this past Saturday, welcoming guests into a fantastical evening of music, food, drink, dancing and gambling. Attendees posed for photographs in front of the artwork and enjoyed its playful introduction to their night.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
