Zagat A-frame Chalkboard

Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio designed and created this double-sided A-frame chalkboard for Zagat. The board will travel to various farmers markets around the United States to advertise Zagat survey booths. At the booths, market-goers have the chance to be a #ZagatCritic by filling out surveys on local restaurants, hotels, nightlife, music, shopping and more. Because this board is being shipped and re-shipped, the “chalk” is actually wax china marker, which looks deceivingly like chalk, but is relatively permanent and water resistant. Thanks to studio manager Elizabeth Ahlem for her work on this board.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
