NPB Art Studio Studio News art deco, chalk vintage posters, Coverings Expo, Vitromex

Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio recently spent a weekend at McCormick Place as live artists during the Coverings 2016 expo. We were hired by Vitromex to help their booth stand out amid the expo’s sea of neutrals and textures. Our art deco-style tourism posters with an extra dose of vibrant color really did the trick and expo attenders enjoyed watching the creation process throughout the day. Thanks to artists Tracee Badway and Brandin Hurley for their help with this project.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
