Sunset Over Oak Street

Sunset Over Oak Street Inspired by Lichtenstein

The Oak Street Business Council asked us to play a part in their First Annual Summer Block Party by creating a grand sidewalk chalk mural. A team from Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio drew inspiration from Roy Lichtenstein’s Ben-Day dots and vibrant colors to create a compelling Chicago skyline. The mural is located in front of the Barney’s New York at Oak St. and Rush St., so check it out before rain hits! Much thanks to Amanda Paulson, Nikki Bank, and summer intern Mehr for their help with this project.

PS: Check out the Roy Lichtenstein retrospective exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago until September 3rd! Information here.
