Save the Date in Chalk

A big congratulations to Erica and Alex! Nancy met Erica in 2013 at the Nike Training Club, during our year of chalk art for NTC Lincoln Park. So, when Erica was looking for a hand lettered save-the-date chalkboard, she of course thought of Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio. For this project, the Studio up-cycled an ornate gold frame into a vintage-style chalkboard. Erica’s save-the-date was completed a few months ago, but we held off posting about it until the surprise was out.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
