NPB Art Studio Studio News A-frame chalkboard, china marker, Interior Define

Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio was hired again by the custom furniture company Interior Define to illustrate and hand letter another sleek A-frame chalkboard. Like the first board we created for Interior Define, this board was done in china marker which looks like chalk but is actually a more permanent wax medium. The layout was designed by Interior Define and executed by Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio. Thanks to studio artist Brandin Hurley for her work on this project.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
