Nancy volunteered to create this mural in the stairwell at McCutcheon Elementary School. Inspired McCutcheon students helped create the design, and the mural was completed with the help of many volunteers, including McCutcheon middle schoolers, and Latin School of Chicago highschoolers as part of their service learning curriculum.

Nancy also led volunteers in the transformation and repainting of the crumbling planters outside of McCutcheon Elementary. McCutcheon experienced an increase in enrollment for the following school year. Local families have a choice between McCutcheon and another public school, and the principal credited McCutcheon’s increased enrollment to the studio’s work to beautify the school.
